An Evening with The Brothers From Different Mothers, Kevin Fallon and Fred Wilkes

Kevin and Fred have been friends and musical collaborators since the mid 70’s.  It has been and continues to be a very fruitful musical partnership with hundreds and hundreds of gigs under their belt, some of which they actually remember.  From solo gigs to full blown bands and everything in between, Kevin and Fred have put smiles on people’s faces throughout the region continually for 30 years…and they’ve played music too!

Kevin’s list of credits is voluminous.  He played for many years with Trinity Square Repertory Company, toured the Middle East with a band, walked across the U.S. of A., played with virtually anyone who is anyone and many who are no one.  In short a local legend.

Fred has made a career of playing gin mills, restaurants, coffee shops, parties, festivals, gas stations, rest areas, and vacant lots up and down Route 44, one end to the other.  He started out playing in traffic as a youth and it seemed a natural progression to grab his guitar and bass and embark the now both famous and infamous “Tour 44”.

For this show TBFDM will present themselves as a duo playing their eclectic mix of folk, fiddle tunes, Irish, blues, bluegrass, ragtime, jazz,  good old rock n’ roll and even the occasional recipe.  Instrumentation will be a mix and match of guitar, fiddle, bass, lap steel, voice, moans, groans, guttural sounds and the ever present guffaw.

Please join the “The Brothers From Different Mothers” at The Purple Piano At The Mill for what promises to be a great night of music and fun!
